Muriate of Potash (MOP) contains a minimum of 60% K₂O, making it the most potassium-dense fertilizer in standard trade. Potassium supports plant water regulation, disease resistance, fruit quality, and starch formation — functions that are critical for yield and crop quality across cereals, fruits, vegetables, and plantation crops. MOP is typically the lowest-cost per-unit-K₂O potassium source, which drives its dominance in bulk blending and basal application programs.

Canada is home to world-scale potash mines in Saskatchewan, and Canadian MOP has a strong reputation for consistent quality and reliable export infrastructure. Our Canada-based operations provide a natural connection to Canadian potash supply, subject to producer allocations and export schedules. We also source from Jordanian and Israeli producers for shipments to regions where these origins offer competitive landed cost advantages.

MOP is available in standard (coarse/granular) and granular agricultural grade. Standard granular MOP is used in bulk blending with urea and DAP; finer grades are available for direct broadcast. We provide complete export documentation, COA review, and inspection support.

Is Canadian MOP available for export?

Yes. Canada is one of the world's largest potash producers, and Canadian MOP is available for export through our sourcing network. Availability is subject to producer allocations, port schedules, and export logistics. Canadian MOP is a benchmark-quality product with a consistent K₂O content and well-established export infrastructure.

What is the difference between granular and standard MOP?

Standard MOP is coarser and less uniform (1–4 mm, mixed crystal and granule), suited to direct broadcast with spinner spreaders. Granular MOP is processed to a consistent 2–4 mm size, well-suited to bulk blending with urea and DAP granules to maintain blend uniformity. Please specify your application and spreading equipment when enquiring.

Is MOP suitable for chloride-sensitive crops?

MOP is potassium chloride, so it carries a chloride load. For chloride-sensitive crops (potato, tobacco, citrus, some vegetables), SOP (Sulphate of Potash, 0-0-50) is the preferred potassium source. We can supply SOP from approved origins — please enquire if your crop is chloride-sensitive.

What origins do you source MOP from, and are any sanctioned origins listed?

We source MOP from Canada, Jordan, and Israel. We do not list or supply from sanctioned origins. All origins are screened for destination market compliance and applicable trade regulations before being quoted to buyers.

What is the MOQ for MOP?

Smaller quantities can ship LCL (part-container load); a full 20ft container (FCL) carries roughly 25 MT. Bulk vessel enquiries from 3,000 MT are considered. Canadian MOP bulk vessel enquiries are welcomed from 5,000 MT+ given port and vessel economics.

Can you supply MOP for government tender programs?

Yes. We have experience with government fertilizer tender supply including MOP. We can provide specification compliance documentation, origin certificates, and independent inspection to meet tender requirements. Early engagement in the tender cycle is recommended.

What documentation comes with MOP shipments?

Standard documents include Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Certificate of Analysis (K₂O content, moisture, granule size), Bill of Lading, and MSDS. SGS or Intertek inspection certificate and any destination-specific documents are arranged on request.
